The Day in the Life video is a recruitment video produced by Optimum Films for Northwestern Mutual that features advisors from several of the southern California offices.
The goal for this video was to highlight the many advantages of being an independent financial advisor, but also to delve into each of the advisors’ career trajectories as specific case studies.

Emma and Claire run a fisherman’s lifestyle brand called The Salmon Sisters out of Homer, Alaska - the jumping off point to their adventures in and around the Kenai Peninsula. This character profile was created to highlight the ways in which having an RV fits into their unique outdoor lifestyle, whether it’s for work or fun.
This video is one of five Go RVing character profiles that Motion Atlas was tasked with editing for Brody Leven who produced the series.

documentary Highlight
The CableLabs 30 Year Documentary is a retrospective of a little-known research and development consortium with a worldwide impact. The film highlights Cablelabs’ most influential innovations in the cable and telecom industries since its creation in 1988, including the cable television box, IP telephones, and broadband internet.
Featured here is only a trailer. The full documentary has a 12 minute runtime. Editing this film included sourcing a variety of archival footage, transitioning between topics quickly and smoothly, conveying complex technical information and contextualizing that info in its broader impact.
